Gods of the Plague is a solo post-metal, doom and atmospheric heavy music project based in Jamestown, New York.

Lost in the Ashes of Pompeii is a slow-burning exploration of impermanence, catastrophe, and the fragility of human achievement. Inspired by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii, the song captures the terror, confusion, and stillness that accompany sudden catastrophe.
Through atmospheric vocals, layered guitars, and slow-building arrangements, the track follows the final moments of a city trapped beneath darkness, ash, and fire. Themes of impermanence, mortality, and humanity's vulnerability to forces beyond its control unfold through imagery of silent streets, frozen shadows, and hopes buried beneath the weight of disaster.
Blending crushing heaviness with cinematic atmosphere, Lost in the Ashes of Pompeii reflects on how entire civilizations can disappear in an instant, leaving only memories preserved in stone and ash.
